About the role

We are seeking experienced Pharmacy Technicians with proven dispensing skills to work on a casual basis.

Based at Waratah Private Hospital in Hurstville, ideally the successful candidate will need to be extremely flexible with their time and be available to work shifts that becomes available sometimes at minimal notice.

Ideally, you possess broader Pharmacy Technician experience involving the dispensing of a variety of medication. Previous oncology manufacturing experience is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions
• Maintain hospital ward imprest stock
• Assist the Pharmacist prepare medication lists to facilitate medication management
• Attend to customers and clients at the counter
• Delivery of medications to wards/hospitals etc
• General pharmacy duties

Selection criteria

• A can-do attitude and team focus
• Proven pharmacy experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Demonstrated experience working in fast paced environment
• Valid driver's licence
• The ability to work in isolation within a chemotherapy compounding unit
• Flexibility in working additional hours at minimal notice will be highly regarded
