Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at the Spinal Rehabilitation Facility.

We are a part of the rehabilitation component of the Victorian Spinal Cord Service (VSCS), which also provides acute and community based services for people who sustain traumatic and non-traumatic spinal cord injuries in Victoria, Tasmania and southern NSW. We are a 20 bed ward located at the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre in Kew. If you are successful you will be joining a highly specialised team and further develop essential nursing skill set in the rehabilitation setting. You will be supported by our very friendly staff and our highly experienced Clinical Education Unit. You will learn and consolidate skills such Primary Nursing, bladder & bowel management, respiratory management and wound management amongst many others.

This position is for both a full time and part time permanent position.

Desirable but not essential:

• Rehabilitation experience
• Driver’s License (we have limited public transport available)
