The Role
A rare opportunity has arisen for a Building Surveyor to join our team of talented and committed Building Services team.
You will carry out functions associated with the administration of the requirements of the Building Act and its Regulations, assisting in the development and delivery of an effective and efficient building service that maintains a high standard of customer service. This will include assisting in the administration and enforcement of all statutory functions prescribed in the Building Act, and its associated regulations, and all other applicable building legislation and guidelines. You will undertake inspections, investigations and compliance audits of buildings, building work and places of public entertainment.
The successful, qualified applicant will have demonstrated integrity and an outstanding ability to communicate and negotiate with stakeholder, both internally and externally. A commitment to continuous improvement with a focus on improving service and outcomes will be highly regarded, as will extensive experience working in either local government or private practice.
You will be required to hold a current and valid motor vehicle driver’s licence and successfully undergo and return a criminal history record check.
