This is an exciting opportunity to deliver business performance initiatives as part of the Innovation Performance team within Council to improve service delivery and organisational effectiveness.

The role will see the successful candidate applying lean six sigma methodology to identify and deliver value-adding improvements to Council’s processes through collaboration with Managers and work teams across the organisation.

As an Innovative Performance Coordinator, you will be responsible for analysing and identifying improvements to processes and performance using Lean-based tools and techniques, preparing and presenting project reports, and leading managers and service staff in the development of effective business performance measures for improved processes.

In this role, you will be required to provide leadership, guidance and frameworks to a number of core business units, and deliver on a number of high-profile projects.

Essential Criteria:

  • A relevant qualification in Business, Quality, Change Management or other relevant discipline and/or demonstrated relevant experience
  • Experience in project management and coordinating multiple functions and complex organisational wide projects
  • Developed facilitation and presentation skills
  • Experience in facilitating Lean Six Sigma improvements to deliver successful and significant business outcomes
  • Experience in managing and executing change management plans
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality

Desirable Criteria:

  • Knowledge and understanding of business systems and operating procedures in a local government or similar organisation

Commencing Salary: $2,025 - $2,322 per week, dependant on the skills and experience of the preferred applicant
