Seeking skilled policy writers to join a supportive, inclusive team in central Canberra
Your new company
This Federal Government Agency plays a key role in analysing, advising and developing and implementing programs to improve digital services to Australians. An increased workload has lead to a vacancy within the policy team working on a vital program for a 6 month period.
Your new role
This is a multi-lateral role requiring candidates with a high level of written skills. The successful candidate will be required to conduct research and analysis and produce a high standard of written communications including: ministerial briefs and submissions, meeting minutes, responses to media enquiries and input for coordination requests. You will also be liaising with internal and external stakeholders and working within in a team to identify and solve problems as they arise. You will operate under limited direction with the work being moderate to complex in nature.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have strong written skills, as well as the ability to balance a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment. A background in policy writing or a ministerial officer role will be an advantage, as well as the ability to problem solve and think analytically. You must be an Australian citizen and will possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a Baseline personnel security clearance.
