Overview
Shoalhaven City Council is seeking a Senior Animal Care Attendant to join the Shoalhaven Animal Shelter team, operating from the new premises at Nowra Hill.
Your New Role
Reporting directly to the Team Supervisor - Shoalhaven Animal Shelter, the focus of this position is to:
- Provide a high level of care for animals
- Provide a high level of customer service and administrative support
- Promote a positive image of the Shelter to members of the public and other stakeholders
This position requires a current Working with Children Check.
Council requires applicants for this position to undergo a National Criminal History Check during the recruitment process. This check will be at the expense of Council.
About You
In order to be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:
- Certificate III in Animal Studies or equivalent
- Certificate II in Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Microchip Implanter certification
- Eligible for Animal Euthanasia Technician certification
- Ability to be trained to administer vaccines
- Ability to be trained to perform venipuncture for Feline AIDS (FIV)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Eligible for Justice of the Peace appointment
- Class C Driver’s Licence
