Our Federal Government client is seeking an APS6 / EL1 Secretariat and Project Officer for a contract of 6 months starting immediately.
  
Duties would include:

The successful contractor will have expert secretariat and project management skills to oversee a number of high-level meetings during the second half of 2018.

• Maintaining broad professional knowledge of the Branch’s policy issues
• Supporting the timely, accurate preparation and distribution of meeting agendas and papers
• Providing secretariat services to arrange high quality meetings and related events
• Forming a sound understanding of governance frameworks for organising meetings
• Maintaining effective working relationships across the department and with jurisdictional counterparts

Desirables:

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise initiative
• Manage large flows of meeting documents and liaise professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
• The work is often fast-paced and has a high degree of visibility, so they must have excellent attention to detail, be able to manage competing priorities and respond flexibly to change.

A minimum baseline clearance is required and an NV1 would be advantageous.
