Join a team of Biomedical Engineering technicians in a tertiary hospital to deliver Healthcare Technology support to clinical services

The Biomedical Engineering department provides a high quality medical technology support service to clinical staff in their use of medical devices to monitor, diagnose or treat patients. Its objective is to provide safe, effective, reliable and well maintained medical devices for patient care throughout the facility, or other entities which the department has entered into an agreement to provide support services. The Biomedical Technical Officer - Electronics is responsible for carrying out acceptance testing, calibration, maintenance, repair, development, education and consulting services with regard to medical technology. In addition to this they are required to set up and operate specified items of medical equipment in clinical settings and generally assist in those procedures.
- Experience in the repair, maintenance and testing of electronic equipment
- Ability to assess priorities and manage competing tasks in a time critical environment
- Experience in the use of computer based asset management systems
- Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders and a commitment to a high standard of service delivery
