DTF is looking to fill a full time, fixed term, VPS 2.1.1 role as an Accounting and Finance Intern.
The Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF) has a limited number of Accounting and Finance internship positions available across the department over the 2018-19 summer break. The program is an opportunity for highly motivated final year (in 2019) university students interested in a future career with the Department to gain first-hand experience in the application of accounting and finance principles in a public policy environment. Placements will be in a number of teams within the Department on a full-time basis for up to 12 weeks.

These positions offer a unique opportunity to build experience and skills in financial policy analysis and development. Successful applicants will work on a broad range of tasks, including developing financial advice, research, analysis and writing.
Interns who successfully complete the internship program are strongly encouraged to apply for the Victorian Public Service (VPS) GRADS Program following the completion of the intern program. The VPS GRADS program offers ongoing positions across the VPS. As such, Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency is required when applying for a position in the intern program.

Successful applicants will be employed under the conditions set out in the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement 2016, and will be paid a salary of $50,828 per annum (pro rata), plus 9.5 per cent superannuation.
The intern program will run from late November/early December 2018 to February 2019.
Arrangements of specific start and end dates are flexible for each successful applicant.
