Permanent Full -Time - 35 hours, 5 days per week
Salary: Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience and competencies of the successful applicant. This position includes a Leaseback Vehicle or Vehicle Allowance.

The Manager, Planning and Transport Strategy will lead Council’s Planning and Transport Strategy team in the delivery of all planning and transport strategies, policy development, background research and studies.
You will maximise strategic advocacy in relation to transport planning and provide high level expert advice on a diverse and complex range of strategic and operational activities.
The Manager Planning and Transport Strategy role will lead, manage and develop planning and transport strategy staff in the assessment, monitor and review of strategic land-use planning policy to achieve sustainable, balanced, consistent and timely outcomes which reflect the vision and expectations of Council and the Liverpool community.
This is a high-profile, challenging and rewarding position leading a passionate and driven team. To be successful you will need to demonstrate your skills and experience relevant to this role, in particular how you meet the following three key criteria:
- Relevant degree qualifications and extensive practical experience in the relevant areas.
- Strong leadership and management skills, applicable to the delivery of sound strategic and operational outcomes across a complex, multi- disciplinary, customer-focused organisation.
- A high level professional knowledge and experience for effective delivery of planning and transport strategy in local government.
