Role Title: Project Officer

Location: Jindabyne, Tumut or Queanbeyan
Duration: Up to 12 months
 
  • Project Officer required for the Kosciuszko National Park Wild Horse Management project
  • Important, interesting and challenging role working within a supportive team
  • Variety of responsibilities and tasks including preparation of project plans and briefing notes,  ministerial and stakeholder liaison, responses to public/media enquiries and coordination and interpretation of research and other operational activities.
  •  High level writing and liaison skills.

National Parks and Wildlife Service manages, conserves and cares for land in national parks and reserves. NPWS links customer, conservation and cultural outcomes in a sustainable way by building participation in the management and use of parks.
 
Primary purpose of the role:
Provides diverse project management and related support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation, implementing and monitoring project plans.
 
Essential requirements
•    Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management.
•    Experience in development and delivery of projects, including the development of project plans, monitoring of project timelines, budgets and reporting requirements, and contract administration.
