About the NDIA



The purpose of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is to implement the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability. The NDIA will also provide great benefit to the families and carers of Australians living with a disability. The NDIS is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean peace of mind for every Australian, for anyone who has, or might acquire, a disability.


About the Position

The EL1 Divisional Support Officer (DSO) position is accountable under broad direction to undertake very complex operational, administration and business management activities in support of the General Manager of the Division. They will work within a framework of legislation, established principles, work practices and procedures in accordance with NDIA’s mission and business objectives to ‘build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme’.
The DSO will have experience in supporting administration and business management function required in an organization with complex governance arrangements.  They are responsible for the development, implementation, compliance, review and improvement of policies and procedures relevant to their work within the Division.
 
The DSO will take the initiative for achieving outcomes, progressing work, reviewing individual and business performance. They will work with defined independence and set work tasks that align with the strategic objectives of the General Manager and will communicate expected outcomes across the Division.

Various locations available (Braddon - ACT, Tuggeranong - ACT, Melbourne CBD - VIC, Geelong - VIC, Sydney - NSW)
