The Emergency Department at Belmont is looking for a Staff Specialist who has the ability to provide high quality and compassionate care directly to patients in the Emergency Department.
You are passionate about ensuring the department runs smoothly and efficiently and will be able to provide supervision, support, advice and direction to junior medical staff undergoing professional training in Emergency Medicine and others at different levels including Nurse Practitioners, medical students and other health professionals.
You will provide leadership for the delivery of emergency care and develop strong working relationships with a multidisciplinary team.
Belmont District Hospital is a 125-bed level 3 District Hospital located on beautiful Lake Macquarie and provides a 24 hour a day emergency department.
Applicants must have a primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and hold Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine or other specialist recognition as provided for in the Staff Specialist (State) Award or Health Insurance Act (1973).
There is allocated clinical support time associated with this appointment.
