KBR Australia has been engaged in working with Defence in Australia for over 20 years and has developed core competencies in systems engineering, systems and enterprise architecture, project management and integrated logistics support, to provide technical and management assistance to a wide range of defence projects.
Our Government Services division is seeking a Configuration Manager with a strong maritime background, to join our project team in providing platform engineering support to the RAN Landing Helicopter Dock ships. The successful candidate will have experience in the Defence environment with particular expertise in the sustainment of major naval surface vessels. The successful applicant will be based at Garden Island in Sydney.
Responsibilities
- Assistance with the development, delivery, and update of a Configuration Management Plan
- Management of system baselines.
- Management of configuration changes and deviations.
- Delivery of configuration status accounting services.
- Administer configuration management tool(s) including in an Administrator role as appropriate.
- Management of Configuration Control Boards including providing secretariat support as appropriate.
- Undertaking configuration audits.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years relevant experience in engineering change management or configuration management
- Familiarity with Configuration Management software
- Relevant engineering qualifications
- Previous experience in Defence or Maritime environment
- An existing or previously held Australian Government Security Clearance
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens in order to obtain a clearance
