V/Line, Victoria's largest regional passenger transport operator, has a long history of serving its communities through rail and coach services. As part of a constantly evolving industry, V/Line is responsible for over 80 train stations and maintenance of approximately 3,500 kilometres of rail track across Victoria. As a member of the Security and Resilience Departments leadership team, the Manager – Business Resilience plays a key role in assisting the General Manager, Security & Resilience with the ongoing development of emergency and business continuity management plans. This position will be responsible for investigations and timely reporting of incidents/issues associated with emergency matters. This position will also ensure that V/line are in compliance with both the Emergency Management (Critical Infrastructure Resilience) Act 2013 and the National Rail Safety Act 2012.

The Manager -Business Resilience will be responsible for researching and analysis of emergency management and business continuity issues; as well as preparing high level reports and recommendations.
To be successful in securing this role, you will either hold a Relevant Emergency Management qualification (Diploma or Certificate IV) or be working towards one. Experience in a similar role within critical infrastructure is essential in this role. You will also have exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead teams in high pressured situations. Strong communication paired with your ability to influence will be essential to your success in this role.
The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience. The selection process may include aptitude assessments, a behavioural event interview, national probity (police) check and medical examination in line with the National Standard for Health Assessment for Rail Safety Workers.
