As Mediator, the main focus of your role is to provide mediation and dispute resolution services to parties under the Strata Scheme Management Act 2015, Community Land Management Act 1989, Residential (Land Lease) Communities Act 2013; and other relevant legislation administered by Fair Trading.

You will work closely with managers, customers and stakeholders to identify and analyse situations and/or issues, consider options, develop and implement solutions to ensure compliance with legislative and Mediation Services Unit practice and procedure requirements.
 
To be successful in this role you must be flexible, show initiative and respond quickly when situations change; support a culture of integrity and professionalism; communicate effectively to different audiences, tailoring responses and monitoring verbal and non-verbal cues; lead and facilitate
productive discussions with staff and stakeholders while minimising conflict.
 
You will also have the ability and willingness to conduct information and education presentations to industry and customers. The role is based in Parramatta but you may be required at times to conduct mediations across metropolitan Sydney or regional NSW.
 
Essential requirements
Appropriate qualifications e.g. LEADR or similar accredited mediator training, and relevant mediation / industry experience.
A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
Satisfactory criminal record history check and current Working with Children check.

Salary Grade 7/8 maximum salary package up to $113,465 Package includes salary [$92,470 – $102,359] and employer’s contribution to superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience.
