An exciting ongoing opportunity exists for a Manager, Offender Risk Assessment in the Offender Management Division within Corrections Victoria.
The Offender Management Division (OMD) of Corrections Victoria (CV) is responsible for providing best practice interventions which aim to reduce the risk of reoffending including oversight of integrity of risk assessment and case management, offending behaviour programs and transition and reintegration supports. The Offender Management Development Branch (OMDB) contributes to community safety by developing, implementing and supporting best practice offender case management and risk assessment and providing associated quality assurance.
The Manager, Offender Risk Assessment leads the risk assessment team within OMDB to provide ongoing quality assurance of risk assessment processes across prisons and Community Correctional Services and provide oversight of CV's approved risk assessment tool which assesses the general risk of reoffending and the criminogenic needs of prisoners and offenders. In addition, this role focuses on the development and implementation of processes and practices to ensure the integrity of risk assessment undertaken to inform rehabilitative effort.
As our ideal candidate, you will be required to demonstrate:
- A practical understanding of the RNR framework
- Sound experience of Victorian government administrative processes within a legislative framework
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues.
