This council is located in one of Sydney's most beautiful areas with a large touristic presents that gives it a buzzing atmosphere with a lot cafes, bars & shops. The holiday feel makes working there feel a lot less like work. Osborne Richardson has worked with this council on a number of different roles and every candidate has loved working there and would return if they had the chance.

 

The council are keen to get someone on ASAP and believe this will be an ongoing contract rolling into a permanent for the right candidate. 

About the role

A Building compliance administration role is an officer based role where you will be the first port of contacts for any complaints, queries & questions made by members of the public. Having knowledge of building legislation it will be up to you to determine the best course of action for the query in question. You will be a key player within your team as you will allocate jobs to the field officers or if you feel you can sort the issue yourself by correspondence then you will take ownership of this.

 

This role is extremely customer service focused as you will be dealing with members of the public on a daily basis both written and verbally, you will have strong communication skills and the ability to defuse potential conflict and difficult situations

Skills and experience

 

The ideal candidate for this role would have worked in a similar role having knowledge of building compliance legislation. Great customer service skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to build rapport quickly will be key for your success. This is a administration role so you will have to be IT savvy and research and interpretation skills are vital.
