Your role

Picture yourself supervising the maintenance of a multi-role fighter aircraft, working on its state-of-the-art avionics. That afternoon the same aircraft is flying overhead at Mach 2 as your team turns its attention to the communication systems of another Super Hornet.

This is no ordinary engineering job.

In the rewarding role of Electronics Engineer (Aerospace Engineer Officer – Electronics) you will be responsible for the leadership, management, and welfare of the technical and logistics personnel within your engineering team. Together you'll maintain and manage airborne power systems, avionics, sonar, radar, communication systems and other advanced technology.

To ensure this technology is safely, efficiently and effectively employed you'll be responsible for:

  • regulation
  • design
  • project management
  • logistics support
  • technical maintenance

Salary

  • Fully-paid training
  • Once trained, starting package approx. $78,200 p.a. plus superannuation

Location

  • Training in Canberra, ACT; Wagga Wagga, NSW and East Sale, VIC (depending on avenue of entry)
  • Then posting to one of the many Air Force locations across Australia

Entry Requirements

  • At least 17 years of age
  • Australian Citizen
