The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is one of the world's largest, and most highly regarded community based emergency services organisations. We respond to fire and other emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whilst our firefighters are the cornerstone of CFA services, what goes on behind the scenes is just as important in helping to protect lives and property.

In this role you will work independently in providing an efficient and effective customer and administration service. Some specifics of the role include:

  • Prepare documents such as letters, memo's, presentations, reports, minutes and briefing notes
  • Data entry, filing, records administration and the administration of other related databases and systems (including electronic)
  • Basic financial transactions, including creation of purchase orders and ensuring transactions are carried out in line with CFA standards

The successful applicant will have:

  • Excellent computer literacy skills (including MS Office and databases)
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to build good working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work proactively, with minimal supervision and to work effectively as a member of a team
  • Ability to draft standard documents, correspondence and reports to a professional standard
