We are proud of our beautiful open space areas, and we’re looking for a team member who is as passionate about the presentation of these areas as we are. This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic person who enjoys working outdoors, and who would like to apply their sound, relevant arboriculture qualifications to the role.
As part of a team, you will assist with the maintenance and improvement of open space areas including:
• Operate and perform maintenance on all associated equipment and other small plant within the Open Spaces and Arboriculture department
• Participate in daily works programs within Open Spaces Arboriculture unit
What are we looking for?
In addition to your relevant industry experience in arboriculture, you will have an enthusiastic personality, good communication and customer service skills, and you’ll be able to work within a team to achieve great outcomes.
Literacy and numeracy skills are also required to maintain a diary, works records, read instructions and perform calculations for chemical application.
You will also have:
- Driver licence
- Valid Working with Children Check and Police clearance checks
- A pre-employment functional medical assessment will be required
- Medium Rigid truck licence
- Certificate III in Arboriculture or equivalent or substantial relevant arboriculture experience
- Chainsaw Level II Certificate
- Elevating OH&S Work Platform Certificate
- First Aid Level 2 Certificate
- OH & S General Induction for Construction (White Card)
- Traffic Control Management certificate
