What’s on Offer:

As a casual Duty Officer at Tocal College, you’ll be:

  • Ensuring the safety, security and welfare of students, staff and visitors, as well as the college buildings and contents.
  • Working as part of the Tocal Agricultural Centre team (within the NSW Department of Primary Industries)
  • Earning $39.14 per hour plus superannuation
  • Working from 4.30pm to 1.30am (on average one shift a fortnight - more when covering leave)


What You’ll Do:

  • Provide safety, security and welfare support for students within a boarding school environment, as well as staff and guests of the college (both during and after hours)
  • Conduct safety and security checks of the college buildings and amenities
  • Respond to onsite guest enquiries including after-hours check-in
  • Undertake general administrative duties including writing up duty officer logs and accessing accommodation bookings.
  • Administer first aid and provide emergency support as required
  • Liaise with contractors, cleaners and other duty officers as well as general college staff and management


What You’ll Have:

  • A current NSW Driver Licence
  • A current First Aid qualification (or the ability to acquire prior to appointment)
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check (or the ability to acquire prior to appointment)
  • A current Class 1A Security Licence (or the ability to acquire prior to commencement)


And if you’ve got this even better:

  • Previous experience in a similar multifaceted environment (such as correctional services, police or security)
