Southern Downs Regional Council is located within 2 hours drive of Brisbane in the Southern Downs and Granite Belt regions of south east Queensland. The region has excellent educational, health, sporting and recreational facilities with a growing population of approximately 35,800. The Council has a clear focus on growth.
The Community Contact Officer will provide professional and responsive customer service to Council’s internal and external clients, both face to face, over the telephone and in writing.
To be successful in this role you will need to have extensive office administration experience and highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to deal effectively with difficult customers. You will need to have demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a team and maintain confidentiality.

Status: Permanent Full-time
Pay Level: $55, 547 - $59, 163 per annum (Level 2), rate dependent on relevant skills and experience. In accordance with Council’s Enterprise Agreement and the relevant Award.
Hours of Work: 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight or as negotiated
