We are looking for

  • A project officer with experience in developing and implementing local/regional projects, frameworks and/or initiatives statewide

  • Someone who can interpret complex information rapidly and accurately

  • An individual who is committed to establishing and nurturing positive stakeholder relationships both internal & external

 

What you will be doing

The Project Officer, Diabetes and Endocrine will promote, develop, implement and monitor strategic change management programs and initiatives that will improve the level and quality of diabetes and endocrinology service delivery across NSW.

You will be responsible for supporting the activities and priorities of the Diabetes and Endocrine Network. Working closely with the Diabetes and Endocrine Network Manager, you will contribute to the development of statewide plans and strategies for implementation of network and Leading Better Value Care (LBVC) initiatives across localities for specific services, including program promotion, management, reporting and evaluation.

This role will also provide high level policy advice and executive support functions to senior committees.

Selection criteria

  1. Demonstrated ability to provide expert advice which is strategic and adds value to a project at a state wide level.

  2. Demonstrated experience in project management and the implementation of local/regional projects, frameworks and/or initiatives with state wide application.

  3. High level skills in conceptual and systemic thinking on the successful application of innovative approaches.

  4. Sound knowledge of the health system in NSW and the national context and broad knowledge and understanding of policy issues related to diabetes and endocrinology.
