Do you have experience in developing and implementing communication and media strategies, including evaluation of their effectiveness in the marketplace? Do you enjoy leading a team to deliver high quality material for communication purposes, including creative graphic design and related web services?

Leading a small professional team, your key responsibility will be to manage the City of Ryde’s brand identity and reputation through the development and implementation of communications strategies that are innovative and creative, customer-focused and delivered across multi-platform channels.
Using your proven relationship, networking, and media skills, you will develop a range of integrated media, communications, and marketing campaigns and foster partnerships with key organisational leaders and media professionals. This is a high profile role that will provide you with professional satisfaction together with career & lifestyle balance.
Key requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field or significant experience in lieu of formal qualifications
- Extensive experience in the development and implementation of communications and media strategies, including evaluation and measurement across traditional and digital media
- Experience leading, mentoring and managing teams
- Highly developed research and analytical skills complemented by creative and innovative thinking
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record of building positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including management, staff, government agencies, and the community
A commencing salary from $108,581 to $122,153 p.a. + superannuation is negotiable depending on your qualifications and proven experience. Your conditions include an attractive leaseback vehicle option, on-going training and development as well as flexible work practices that can include a rostered day off each 3rd week.
