What you'll be doing

To provide a high level of clinically focused nursing care, practising within their regulated scope of practice, across diverse practice settings and patient/client populations within a defined specialty. To manage care across a variety of health systems to maximize outcomes - engaging in complex and critical thinking; integrating information and/or evidence; judiciously use clinical investigations; skillfully and empathetically communicating with all involved in the care episode, including the person receiving care and their family and community, and health professional colleagues. To engage in practice as guided by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Nurse Practitioner Standards Framework.

AN ELIGIBILITY LIST FROM THIS RECRUITMENT ACTIVITY MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE VACANCIES

1. Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and current practicing certificate to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
   
2. Demonstrated comprehensive skills in clinical assessment including physical, mental health, social, ethnic and cultural dimensions.
   
3. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with proven ability to use appropriate teaching/learning strategies to educate and support others within the speciality and the profession.
   
4. Proven ability to critically evaluate and integrate relevant research findings into decision making about health care management and interventions.
5. Evidence of implementing interventions and monitoring outcomes to evaluate and improve patient care
6. Current NSW driver's license and ability and willingness to travel for work purposes

7. Knowledge of current issues impacting on the provision of Dementia and Aged Care services in rural areas and the commitment to quality improvement and evidenced based practice with the ability to influence organisational change

8. Proven Information Technology skills, specifically experience with word processing, database and spreadsheet software
