• Maternity Leave Contract - One month handover
• Regional Council - North West Victoria - 2 hour drive from CBD
• Work across both statutory and strategic elements of planning

Design & Build are currently working with a regional Council located in Northern Victoria. This is about two hours’ drive from the CBD.
  
This is a maternity leave contract and you will come aboard a small, close knit team. You will be assessing applications for residential development, intensive farming, rural sheds and some mining. You will also have the opportunity to broaden your experience in strategic planning and work across a variety of different applications.
  
This role is due to commence in November and you will have a one month handover with your predecessor to ensure you are given the best level of support from the get go.
  
The successful candidate will have experience working within Local Government and be confident managing a caseload with little supervision. This would suit a planner seeking a new challenge or simply wanting a tree change!
  
Requirements include:

• Tertiary qualification in Town Planning, Urban Studies, Environmental Planning, or related discipline.
• Experience working within Local Government within Victoria.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
