The Council's Technical Services Directorate provides a range of services including property and tenancy, fleet and mechanical, and infrastructure and projects.
As the Team Leader Pool you will be responsible for supervising a small team and operating a remote community swimming pool; including opening the pool to the public, providing lifeguard duties and maintaining all facility equipment.

- A good level of physical fitness
- The ability to work unsupervised and effectively as part of a team
- The ability to lead, motivate and mentor team members to foster independence and increase local ownership of the service
- Sound decision-making skills including an analytical approach to problem solving
- Drive, commitment and resourcefulness
- The ability to be resilient in the face of unexpected and unplanned set backs
- High level of communication skills to provide key advice to internal and external stakeholders, within area of expertise
- Good information technology skills
- Strong work ethic and reliability including a meticulous eye for detail in all administrative tasks
There are two positions available in the two remote communities of Areyonga and Santa Teresa. Areyonga is located 215 km west of Alice Springs and Santa Teresa is 80 km east of Alice Springs.
You will require the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships within the community and work effectively with Indigenous Australians. A genuine interest in community development and making a difference in a remote based locality is also required.
