About the business
Selex ES Australia was first established in Victoria as part of the company’s commitment to deliver the SEA 1442-4 ANZAC communications capability to the Royal Australian Navy. Our Port Melbourne facility is home to our Project Management Office, Systems Integration and Test Facility and Support Services. It also represents a local engineering and logistics resource with the ability to design, deliver and support naval communications in Australia.
The company is actively engaging with our Australian suppliers and is undertaking a comprehensive knowledge transfer programme into both Selex ES Australia and the local supply chain. These vital elements will help to create a regional centre of excellence that will continue to grow our communications technology business in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
Managing the ILS team, you will:
- Lead the development of an ILS and support capability for Leonardo
- Provide effective support and sparing solutions for new communications capability
- Coordinate ILS functions including Logistics Engineering, Supply Support, Technical Publications and Training
- Liaise with a wide range of stakeholders including customers, subcontractors, engineering team, suppliers, warehousing etc to develop and then deliver ILS solutions and capability
- Manage change implementation into ILS artefacts through appropriate change management processes
- Provide clear leadership for the development of the support capability and the engineers within the business
- Provide cost effective solutions for support and maintenance capability including the selection of engineering tools and processes
- Manage the planning, allocation and deployment of ILS team members including contract staff
- Cost account management of work packages (eg resources, cost, schedule, budget etc).
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate ILS functions including logistics engineering (RAM, TARR), supply support, training, technical publications etc.
- Coordinate the ILS team's development and delivery of the ILS program deliverables in accordance with the schedule
- Facilitate ILS related system reviews
- Work package management including schedule and cost.
The successful applicant will have:
- Degree qualified or equivalent in either engineering or logistics management
- Extensive experience across more than one of the lifecycle phases demonstrating a true through life approach to support
- Extensive experience in more than one engineering or logistic domain with a proven customer delivery performance
- Good knowledge and experience with RAM Commander and OPUS 10
- Previous experience of managing and teams.
- A good understanding of the maritime communications environment (desirable)
Defence security clearance is required for this role. Applicants must have or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
