The Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD) is seeking a highly skilled senior leader who will be responsible for the operational management of the Western Metropolitan Area team.

This is a ongoing, full time (1.0 FTE) position at the VPS6 level, based in Footscray. This position will work collaboratively across other QARD regional areas. This position will involve travel which will include overnight stays.

Duties

• Manage and monitor regulatory functions including monitoring and compliance visits, investigations, and assessment and rating.

• Mentoring and coaching the Western Metropolitan Area team QARD to ensure best practice, assessment and rating, and to ensure that compliance and enforcement procedures are applied in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and Victorian Children's Services Act 1996 and the relevant regulations.

• Lead the establishment and maintenance of effective relationships and engage closely with education and care services and key stakeholders to achieve regulatory outcomes.

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications in early childhood teaching, primary teaching, or human welfare studies, behavioural studies or similar.

• Working knowledge of education and care service delivery including a demonstrated understanding of quality in early childhood education and care.

• Successful applicants will be required to hold a valid Victorian Working with Children's Check or Victorian Institute of Teaching registration upon commencement.
