As new infrastructure comes on-line and our operations move into the digital age, the shape of the skills in our workforce will change and we’re redefining our talent management practices to be ready. We’ve crafted a fresh approach; client-facing talent acquisition integrated with talent management, sourcing, technology, branding, planning, projects, workforce development and diversity.
We have already delivered major improvements – we’ve slashed process times, revolutionised service models, piloted new ways of working and proved the value of progressive talent acquisition and management to the organisation and now we’re looking for the right people to join us on the next stage of the journey.
The opportunity
We have a newly-created role for an innovative and inclusive leader to bring fresh thinking to our team and improved service to our customers. The Talent Scout proactively engages with the market to develop talent pools to support the end-to-end recruitment services to the Talent function, ensuring all vacancies are filled with suitable candidates within the targeted time frame.
This role will own all candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination and onboarding. High attention to candidate care will be essential to lead to quality hiring outcomes. You’ll be able to make your mark in a newly-forming function by designing and owning the sourcing strategy, framework, policy, procedures, tools and templates that underpin our Talent operations. You’ll quickly become recognised as our subject matter expert by team members, talent specialists, executive leaders and hiring managers.
Ideal experience, skills and personal qualities for success in this role:
You’ll enjoy change and see new ways of doing things, you should challenge convention to build and improve on existing practice. You’ll get a spring in your step from delivering outcomes for clients and spare them the complexity of how you got there.
A commitment to quality and ability to do the detail without losing sight of the bigger picture is important. You’ll be resilient, energetic, committed to getting it right but without losing your perspective and humour. An understanding of key sourcing strategies, effective use of sourcing technologies and experience in developing talent pools will be highly regarded.
Intrigued and want to find out more?
Well, good - improving on this scale is not an everyday opportunity; it’ll challenge you and open doors for your future. We’re not looking for incremental change but to disconnect from the past and build a world-class talent function.
