Our client is a Government body located in Toowong. They are looking to recruit 12 Debt Recovery and Management Officers on a 12 month contract, starting August.

About the role

The Debt Recovery and Management Officer is responsible for debt raising, debt recovery and compensation recovery for payments. The Debt Recovery and Management Officer aims to reduce the number and value of debts owed to the Department through efficient and effective delivery of all aspects of debt and compensation operations.

Responsibilities

• Understanding, responding and resolving customer debt enquiries, including more complex customer enquiries via telephone and written correspondence
• Advise customers of their rights and obligations
• Negotiate debt repayment arrangements
• Interview customers (primarily by phone)
• Draft written responses to customers, adhering to documentation procedures
• Participate in Quality Assurance Activities
• Review and assess information from customers
