Our client is a National leader in rail technology providing innovative solution based engineering and manufacturing capabilities and asset management/maintenance services.
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to undertake an integral role to review and red-line changes to drawings including overhaul all standard operating procedures relating to the manufacture and maintenance of our clients commuter trains. This position can be undertaken autonomously or alongside your qualified drafter.
This is a full- time fixed-term contract, 6 - 12 months.
Location - Dry Creek, Adelaide.
Flexible work arrangement may be negotiated for interstate applicants.
An attractive base salary will be negotiated for the right applicant.
This role would suite someone with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in rolling stock or a related sector ie automotive, aerospace etc.
Duties:
• Formulating all relevant data
• Review and red-line changes to drawings
• Review and collate electrical schematics
• Review all standard operating procedures ensuring reference to correct standards ie RISSB
• Ensure all relevant documentation & changes are referenced
• Review formatting according to standard for application
• Liaising with key stakeholders and maintenance teams on above
• Other tasks as directed to meet tender
Skills and Experience
Essential
• Degree in Engineering in relevant field - Electrical, Aerospace
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant industry experience -rolling stock, automotive or similar
• Design drawing experience
• Knowledge and understanding of Australian standards for rolling stock - RISSB
• Understanding of engineering as it relates to rolling stock
• Leadership qualities with foresight to modify or change tact to the benefit of project
• Consistent and methodical approach to work
• Ability to communicate with staff at all levels
• Excellent interpersonal skills to manage challenges
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Flexibility in approach to tasks
• Energetic, Proactive, Self-managed and organised
• Attention to detail - excellent
• Work visa is required
