Job Title: Maintenance Manager required - Roads/Structures
Location: Melbourne, Vic
Pay Rate: $150 - 200k package - dependent on experience 

Australia is going through a new process of privatising the Maintenance of Transportation Infrastructure contracts across the country. With this being a new delivery model to the Australasian market, relevant roles in the market have been increasing.

Company 

The client is a top tier Civil Engineering Main Contractor, involved in multi-disciplinary projects across a number of sectors in the Australian market and who also operate in international markets.

They are active in roading and transportation, rail and infrastructure, and utilities sectors and thus are well positioned within the industry to make significant gains off the back of the developing new sector.

The works typically involve infrastructure upgrades & new build on medium to large sized projects - with this role being a lead role in the asphalt and pavement section of the projects.

Main Duties 

As the Maintenance Manager, you would take complete control of maintenance team in order to deliver the requirements of the contract.
1.     Health and Safety, driving on the company's strategy and policy
2.     Meeting KPI's on delivery of the works
3.     Manage both the direct members of the team in work crews and also specialist sub-contractors who assist in delivering to the network needs.
4.     Develop and monitor the main works in a detailed program, managing cost and resource accordingly throughout.
5.     Participate in the selection and recruitment of the maintenance teams

Requirements

The successful candidate will bring to the role;


• Previous experience in a management role on similar type of maintenance project.
• Have a track record of delivering to maintenance requirements across both routine and cyclic elements,  within time and cost constraints
• Good technical knowledge of engineering to do with maintenance principles including relevant specification on highway/road construction
• Ability to effectively manage the link with other stake holders and interface professionally with the client.
• High level contractual and commercial experience (good experience in standard forms of contract considered a minimum requirement).
• Previous demonstrative communication and people skills
• A solutions-orientated attitude with a desire to be a leader.
