About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team based in Geelong to work across multi- contracts including onsite work within the Melbourne area. Working collaboratively with the team, the successful individual will;
- Deliver Electrical projects from concept through to engineering design and site installation and commissioning;
- Deliver assigned projects within budget and to the agreed schedule including safe completion of all phases in accordance with applicable local procedures and processes;
- Monitor cost aspects of the project within direct control and forecast final costs, identify trends and take action to avoid cost overruns;
- Maintain a safety focus within the team to ensure OHSE requirements are included in design and procurement;
- Participate in safety and quality audits and other field reviews as required;
- Maintain records that adequately document and control all aspects of the project.
Skills & Experience
As this is a hands- position offering continuous mentoring and development from a client site, we are looking for someone who displays initiative and is motivated to succeed in their profession. Additional attributes you will possess include;
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering;
- 5 – 10 years’ chemical plant experience;
- Sound communications skills with the ability to build strong relationships with both client engineers and trades people;
- Experience with site installation work with a proven history of successful installations;
- Experience with delivering engineering work from concept to commissioning;
- Good knowledge of motor power supply and controls (equipment and design);
- Good knowledge of reliable LV power distribution for manufacturing / process plants (equipment and design);
- Ability to work autonomously and build a successful team environment.
