Position:

Bosch are looking to engage a 2nd or 3rd year Engineering (Mechanical Trade) Apprentice through MEGT to join their highly successful team located in in Clayton.

The successful candidate will carry out the below tasks related to the engineering mechanical trade (fitting & turning) under supervision of qualified tradesperson/instructor and consistent with apprenticeship year level:

• Carry out maintenance and repair tasks on mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
• Manufacture, assembly and dismantling/replacing of mechanical /engineering components
• Use hand tools, e.g. spanners, screwdrivers, hacksaw, scribers, Vernier’s, steel tools etc.
• Use power tools, e.g. Electric drills, angle grinders and pneumatic tools etc.
• Operate workshop equipment e.g. metal machining lathes, milling machines, cutting, drilling, etc.
• Follow appropriate manual handling techniques for manual tasks including lifting and moving items
• Read and interpret engineering drawings for manufacture and assembly of machinery
• Complete appropriate documentation and record information
