About us:
CFCL Australia Maintenance Pty Ltd is an operating entity of CF Asia Pacific Group, the leading supplier of leased locomotive power and rollingstock to Australian freight rail operators. CFCL Australia Maintenance is responsible for
locomotive and wagon servicing as well as major modifications and overhauls and supports the intended
growth of engineering services and network of
manufacturing sites.
About the opportunity:
The General Manager is responsible for all CFCLAustralia
Maintenance business activities, including production,
planning and quality control, engineering operations,
project development and management, financial
monitoring and safety and risk management as well as,
quality environmental policies and objectives. Business
development and customer relations is also a key part of
this role.
About you:
You will be tertiary qualified in business or engineering
A proven leader in engineering and manufacturing management or related function
Previous experience in project, change and risk management at a senior level
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills with some legal documentation and contract experience
Knowledge of heavy and light plant and equipment maintenance and maintenance management methodologies
Substantial experience in evaluating and mitigating risks in a growing business
Sound knowledge of the requirements of Rail Safety legislation for relevant States and Territories and Rail Safety Management standards such as AS4292 series
The ability to lead, coach, mentor and inspire employees along with highly developed interpersonal skills
The ability to assist with the development of annual budgets and forecasts
