We currently have an established engineering team consulting to the Department of Defence on a project in Melbourne.
Due to project expansion, we are seeking a Systems Engineer to join us directly. This role will require you to have a Software slant, preferably with experience in complex software systems. The successful applicants can join our own consulting team in either a permanent or a contract capacity.
In order to apply, applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:
- A good understanding of Defence systems engineering, preferably with software intensive systems.
- Experience within Defence or Defence Industry
- Effective ability in stakeholder engagement and management, along with good written and verbal skills.
- An Engineering degree or higher (eg. electronic / electrical engineering or mechatronic engineering etc).
- A current or recently lapsed AGSVA NV1 security clearance.
This is a high profile Defence project and the role will involve working with a significant number of stakeholders, both within Defence and with the prime contractor. We have an excellent team currently providing support to this client, so this opportunity will provide a stimulating environment to work, evolve and be mentored if required. The work life balance is standard for a full time opportunity ie 40 hrs per week, and many public transport and eatery options are nearby.
