The company is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to work in our process engineering team.
This role will report to the Engineering Manager and will be based in Moss Vale NSW.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- PLC / Robotic programing and diagnosis
- Electrical control and safety systems design
- HMI development
- Construct electrical layouts and schematics via 2 and 3D drawing systems
- Manage projects from inception to completion including cost benefit analysis, component sourcing and Capital Expenditure works
- Ensure equipment designs and processes comply with relevant standards, regulations and policies
- Assist maintenance / contract personnel to install and commission new and diagnose existing equipment
- Maintain and update site electrical standards
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
Essential qualifications and experience:
- Current Australian electrical qualifications with a focus in controls and automation
- Electrical / Controls engineering diploma or degree
- Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience in a Manufacturing/ Processing Environment
- AutoCAD Electrical competency or equivalent
- Strong commitment to health and safety
Desirable attributes
- Demonstrated working knowledge of AS3000
- Proficient in PLC programming in Allen Bradley, Omron, Siemens S7 or similar.
- SCADA code implementation
- Proficient in Variable Speed Drive programming (Control Techniques, Allen Bradley)
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and problem solve in a time critical environment
- Methodical Approach to process design and control
