The Company

With further growth in the business, this newly created role as an Application Engineer will be snapped up quickly!
The Role
You will be the technical lead for developing solutions and systems architecture of turnkey automation systems. You will have strong knowledge around all automation products and our entire suite of products and formulate solutions for prospective customers in the FMCG, OEM and industrial/mining sectors with a focus on engineering complete solutions.
To apply for this role, you ideally must be an experienced application engineer in automation. You will still be considered if you have a strong understanding of automation products and sensors and design and create a variant solution into the same markets.
Key Aspects
- Prepares explanation to enable proper interpretation and evaluation of specifications, performance characteristics, or other technical data
- Consults with appropriate groups in preparation of proposals for complex domestic and international installations.
- Performs complex hardware and software design consultation
- Technical product advice for the development and implementation of customer solutions
- Provide one-on-one support and assist customers through applications from concept through completion

Skills & Experience Needed
- Automation Architecture involving multiple products and technologies
- Comprehensive knowledge in architecting complex solutions
- Solid turnkey solutions for the food and packaging industry
- PLC Programming, Industrial Controls
- Motion Control and Drives
- Networking and hardware wiring
- Bachelor of Science in computer science/ electrical/ computer/ mechanical engineering or mechatronics
- Previous experience working as an Applications Engineer
