The Role
Our client is a leading Tier 1 Multidisciplinary Head Contractor delivering on some of Australia’s exciting projects and they are looking for an experienced Project Scheduler/Planner with a strong track record planning and monitoring large scale asset management projects! Assisting the Project Director, You will have the opportunity to work for an iconic brand which offers a supportive work environment.
Specific Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Manage the program controls and planning capability within the contract to ensure and efficient, effective and sustainable capability to achieve the required level of service
- Provide assurance and endorsement of Project Controls Plans to ensure an appropriate planning and performance framework, and the application to support successful project execution
- Accountable for the development and endorsement of the annual and five year work plans, including the master schedule
- Continuously improve project controls and planning processes, procedures across the contract
- Identify opportunities and risks, and develop mitigation strategies throughout the contract, and monitor and report on the status of risks and opportunities accordingly
- Maintenance and governance of consolidated reporting of the enterprise and subcontractors cost and schedule performance position to ensure project teams and subcontractors are achieving required performance
- Coordinating progress, change and reporting deliverables in accordance to contractual and internal requirements for the project
- Build and maintain Customer/stakeholder relationships by being a focal point of program planning and controls
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following attributes:
- Previous experience working in an engineering/asset maintenance field desirable
- Ability to prepare scope and business case for more ambiguous or complex projects
- Ability to lead research, analysis and prepare papers and/or submissions associated with the implementation
- Ability to take a lead in projects through consultation, stakeholder engagement, development, implementation and review
- Familiarity with Sharepoint & SAP (must) and MS Project will be highly regarded
