Temporary full time position

Gippsland Water currently have an opportunity for a Project Engineer to join the Asset Delivery workgroup for a five year project.

In this role you will be responsible for managing the upgrade to the Drouin Waste Water Treatment Plant. As part of this, you will provide expert support to the Asset Delivery workgroup in the planning, design, tendering, supervision, construction and commissioning phases of the project.

To be considered for this role you must have a tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline. Applicants with a mechanical or civil engineering background will be highly regarded.

In addition to the above qualification, to be successful in this role you will have;

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working within the mechanical or civil engineering discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery and management of construction projects for water industry infrastructure or equivalent
  • Excellent project management skills and experience in overseeing construction to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, quality control and safety
  • Experience writing and reviewing technical specifications and preparing contract documentation
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
