Golder are looking for a junior to mid-level Geotechnical Engineer to join our busy Perth Geotechnical group on a full-time basis. This role will suit an individual who enjoys fieldwork and is flexible with travelling to regional sites. You will be involved in a variety of technically challenging projects and have access to leading industry experts to mentor and guide you.
 
You will primarily be responsible for:
  • Carrying out assignments/ projects under the general direction of more senior engineers;
  • Assisting with project planning and deliverables of technical complexity;
  • Coordinating and conducting geotechnical investigations;
  • Preparing geotechnical reports, proposals and other deliverables;
  • Interpreting geotechnical data, performing analysis and drawing recommendations;
  • Conducting characterisation of materials;
  • Maintaining client contact and customer liaison;
  • Participating in developing methodology and cost estimations for proposals; and
  • Supervising work of technicians and junior professional staff on site.
To be successful, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or equivalent with several years’ experience in Geotechnical engineering. It is expected that you will have strong written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills and an enthusiasm for fieldwork. Previous consulting experience will be favourable.
