Golder has an exciting opportunity for an experienced mid to senior-level Geotechnical Engineer to join our reputable Perth Geotechnical team on a full-time basis.
 
As an integral part of the team, you will support technical Principals with project and commercial management, planning, co-ordination, and monitoring of multiple complex medium to large scale projects at any one time, ensuring that project and client commitments are met. You will be involved in an array of high profile technically challenging projects, have access to Golder’s technical community networks and work with leading industry experts who support your career and professional development.
 
Your responsibilities may involve:

• Assisting with project planning and deliverables of technical complexity;
• Coordinating and/or conducting geotechnical investigations;
• Preparing geotechnical reports, proposals and other deliverables;
• Interpreting geotechnical data, performing analysis and drawing recommendations;
• Conducting high quality characterisation of materials;
• Maintaining client contact and customer liaison;
• Participating in selecting methodology and cost estimations for proposals;
• Supervising work of technicians on site and junior professional staff; and
• Ensuring our health and safety culture is upheld and actively encouraging safety awareness and environmental responsibility at all times.

To be successful, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or equivalent with several years’ experience in Geotechnical engineering. It is expected that you will have strong written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills and strong analytical and problem solving skills. Previous consulting experience and project management skills will be favourable.
