Fives Services Australia provides equipment and maintenance services to primary Aluminium Smelters in Australia and New Zealand through a network of offices in Australia.
An opportunity exists in our Fives Services Newcastle branch for an experienced Overhead Crane field technician to join our expanding operation. The successful applicant will be an experienced crane technician who is versatile and flexible, with a strong focus on customer service. The ability to service overhead cranes and hoists in accordance with Australian Standards is required. Mechanical qualifications are essential; and the applicant must demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude.
In this role, your key duties will include but not limited to:

Servicing of all types of cranes & hoists.

Mechanical fault finding and repairs

Attend Call-Out requests for repair work.

Completing clear & legible service reports.

Be computer literate
Preferred Qualifications:

White Card – Construction Induction
-
Yellow Card – Elevated Work Platform
-
Licence to perform High Risk Work
-
WP – Elevated Work Platform > 11Metres
-
Experience in hydraulics/pneumatics, fault diagnostics would be an advantage.

Forklift and Dogging experience desirable
