Your new role
This position is a Senior Transport Civil Designer, you are responsible to design and implement designs that is mainly focus around Road and Highway design. You will also be responsible for some design reviews and management. Sitting at a senior level, you will be a leader and be seen as a mentor to younger staff. Working on a number of differing and significant transport projects, you will be able to effectively work first hand on significant projects shaping South eastern Queensland. This role will you being mentored by industry leaders and work alongside them in delivering projects that improve our city.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be immediately available and ready to hit the ground running. Ideally you will have previous exposure and skills relevant to the below criteria:
- To be able to control multiple jobs at once
- Work autonomously and to deadlines
- Proficient in 12D and AutoCAD
- Exposure on design works for Roads and Highway/Motorways.
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with all stakeholders.
- Make concise judgement calls and decision making.
- Proven experience within traffic & transport field or an understanding of the principles in traffic planning.
- Understanding of Australian Standards on DAs and AUSroads Documents.
