FITTER MACHINIST/OPERATOR - PAGET WORKSHOP
An esteemed Client of Haynes Group currently have positions open for proficient and experienced Fitter Machinists to join their Hydraulic Machining team in their Paget workshop. The successful applicant will work Monday to Friday, a minimum of 38-hour weeks. Times will be varied from week to week with availability from 6.00am to 6.00pm. Working 2 weeks of days and afternoon shift rosters.

Our client specialises in providing hard chroming services and hydraulic cylinder refurbishment to the entire dealership territory as well as external customers. With clean, modern workshops, and a high focus on Caterpillar Production Systems, positions within this growing organisation are extremely sought after.
The Role
The primary focus of this role is to machine, repair, reclaim, and manufacture various components, including large hydraulic cylinders and various other items, related to heavy mining and earthmoving equipment.
Requirements
- An Australian recognized trade certificate as a machinist
- Able to work a roster of two weeks of afternoon shift and two weeks of days
- Competently operate manual lathes and borers (vertical and/or horizontal)
- Able to manufacture hydraulic rods, barrels, pistons etc.
- Hold a high risk forklift license & Overhead Gantry Crane ticket
- Work in a team environment
- Safety orientated
- Think for themselves and show initiative
- High attention to detail
- Passionate about quality of work
- Follow standard work practices
Other areas that are highly considered are
- Use of CNC lathes, borers (Fanuc controllers)
- Basic welding
