Some of what you’ll be doing:

  • Conduct field investigations and analyse failures involving all types of structures and construction problems including residential, commercial and industrial properties
  • Determine of the cause, origin, and extent of structural failures, water intrusions, construction defects and building system failures
  • Foundation settlement investigations, structural assessments, site evaluations, sub-surface investigations, vibration analysis and other structural related issues upon request
  • Analyse failures in buildings and other infrastructure systems by conducting site visits and applying engineering principles and practices in accordance with codes and industry standards
  • Prepare written reports that document causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended remediation.

Who we’re looking for:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • At least 3+ years' experience working as a Chartered Engineer
  • Ability to scope and estimate cost of repairs to Domestic, Commercial and Industrial properties
  • Someone with excellent technical report writing skills
  • A thorough knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards
  • Experience working with legal firms and insurance companies would be an asset
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Someone who is a self-starter and has a strong attention to detail

We offer a competitive compensation package which includes a base salary, superannuation pay, bonus scheme and car allowance for this role.
