We currently have an exciting full time permanent opportunity for an experienced and Master Scheduler to join our high performing Marine Division. This position will be based in our facility at Techport, Osborne
About the Role
Reporting into the PMO - Portfolio Management Office the Master Scheduler is responsible for the formulation, baselining, maintenance, communication and change management of all Marine projects, activities and integrated schedules. The role will effectively collaborate with program management, technical, earned value, and our outsourcing support team members to plan, create, monitor and analyse integrated schedules for the Marine business.
Key responsibilities are as follows:
Formulate, maintain, control & communicate the Master Schedule for Complex Marine defence programs
Create Schedule baselines and manage ongoing change control processes
Create, maintain and communicate schedules for PMO Projects and Bid Programs
Provide input and support to Project Managers to enable the conduct of operational readiness reviews.
Drive integrated program management by making recommendations for critical or near critical path activities
Identification of constraints and dependencies within across programs
Provide an interface for schedule risks into the Marine Risk Management Program
Integrate with customer programs ensuring joint alignment of schedule expectations
Prepare schedule Progress and Management reports as required
Support forward forecasting of manning levels, enabling the workforce to adjust to meet anticipated workload as per schedule planning
Integrate schedule with milestone planning and reporting as driven by individual programs.
Production of schedule based metrics as required.
About You
This role will align with an experienced Master Scheduler that has a proven track record of delivery within a defence, manufacturing or technical engineering organisation. You will be an experienced in a technical engineering environment and will possess base level engineering qualifications and an understanding of reporting, planning and scheduling complex engineering solutions. You will have advance Microsoft Project skills as well as excellent interpersonal and analytical skill set. Additionally you will be a confident team player that has a passion for identifying and driving change and enjoys working within a team environment but can also work autonomously as required. You will have exceptional time management and organisational experience coupled with an ability to prioritise, plan and organise your work load and timeframes with a strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will have high level computer skills and have a proven ability to adapt and learn new systems and processes quickly.
The successful candidate must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
