Position Overview:

Reporting to the Principal Engineers, the successful candidate will join the engineering team of Terex Australia’s ‘Pick and Carry’ Cranes Division at Eagle Farm. As a Design Engineer, you will be required to combine your theoretical skills with practical experience to provide technical design solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance to Terex policies, procedures and work instructions, documented quality system and all OH&S procedures and policies;
• Comply with national, international, overseas standards and directives as part of the basis of design;
• ·Work on Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) projects;
• Provide engineering support to the manufacturing and after-market service teams if required;
• Produce engineering CAD models, assembly drawings, component drawings when required;
• Develop technical procedures and bulletins when required;
• Writing engineering reports and presentations;
• Conduct failure investigations;
• Presentations to Terex management and project stakeholders.

Experience and Qualifications:

• The successful candidate will have:A bachelor degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering;
• At least 3 years’ design experience in a related industry;
• A positive attitude and strong focus on delivering results on time
• Proficiency in NX or similar CAD tools;
• Proficiency using MS Office
• Availability to travel nationally & internationally for business purposes when required;

Highly Valued Experience:

• Exposure to hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical machine systems;
• Automotive design experience;
• Crane design experience;
• Exposure to Heavy equipment/agricultural equipment;
• Knowledge APQP, PPAP, DVP&R processes;
• Ability to use FEA software;
• Workshop experience
• RPEQ registered
